Eleu.

Filmmaker and Singer-Songwriter

Eleu is a multidisciplinary artist and performer from Los Angeles. She is a graduate of Columbia University. Her directorial debut, Anima, is currently in post and will soon be submitted to 2025 festivals . She is currently pitching a TV series and writing a feature film, as well as recording her Celtic Jazz EP in a studio in the woods. Among her many life experiences, Eleu trained as a mountaineer, which informs her directing and presence with her production team. She can be found on both mountains and film sets, implementing a restorative ecology into her work. She is interested in how our landscapes are encoded in our stories.

  • Working with Eleu was one of the most enriching and transformative experiences I’ve had as an actor. She has a gift for unlocking self-belief and tapping into the deepest levels of creativity. Her use of physical exercises cultivated a profound connection to my character and my fellow actors, grounding me in a way that felt almost spiritual. Her dynamic, hands-on approach made it effortless for me to access the emotional depth required and her dedication to every moment of the creative process made her one of the most inspiring and collaborative directors I’ve had the pleasure of working with.

  • Eleu nurtured the relationship between myself and my scene partner with magnificent care, patience and leadership, and I left her project feeling that I had grown as a performer. On set she leads with incredible calm, and balances the needs of the environment, crew and cast brilliantly. Her attention to detail is remarkable.

  • Eleu’s choices are bold and often mesmerizing. And her artistic voice possesses an uncommonly wide range, which she can effectivity convey with her team. I can give the same praise for her screenwriting ability. Eleu’s stories are vivid and unique. Her characters grapple with difficult but universal emotion decisions. During my time at Columbia, NYU, and USC, I’ve encountered few writers that could mirror Eleu’s master of emotion through images.
